What is Vertigo?
Vertigo is a specific feeling that the environment around you is spinning in circles. Vertigo is a symptom of lots of health conditions rather than a disease itself, but can occur along with other symptoms.
What to expect if you are experiencing Vertigo?
- nausea and vomiting
- dizziness
- balance issues
- hearing loss
- headaches
- motion sickness
- constant eye movement (Nystagmus)
How can Physiotherapy help?
Vestibular physiotherapy helps retrain the balance system in the body through special exercises for the eyes, head and body. These exercises helps the brain adjust to confusing signals from the inner ear or neck which cause dizziness.
Vestibular physiotherapy can reduce spinning sensations, improve coordination, and make daily movements feel steady and controlled again.
